"AP November 9, 2011, 9 AM MGT
While forcasts projected a tight but safe pass by Earth, the YU55 asteroid shocked scientists when it fell into a remote region of the north Pacific Ocean at approximately 5:42 GMT. The object reportedly broke into two pieces, the largest of which was the size of four football fields. Reports from Hawaii indicate a 500 foot high wall of water inundated Honolulu, leaving the city in ruins. The wave has not reached the U.S. mainland at the time of this writing, but the wall of water is expected to be 300 feet high when it reaches Los Angeles."
