Original Message All my life I've kept to myself, and I'm finally realizing that there really isn't anything wrong with me. I just don't like ACTING FAKE. I see it every single day at the office, at social gatherings with family members, everyone is trying to impress each other and no one is genuine. Everyone is trying to be "interesting" or sound more sophisticated than everyone else, trying to outdo each other.

I just find it all a waste of effort and would rather keep to myself. Unfortunately with the society we live in, introverted people are absolutely detested. If you sit at your desk and work from 8-5 and only talk about work, eat by yourself every day, and don't try to fit in with the others, you are a creepy loner.

What's funny is I don't really care when the others gossip about me. I just hate that I am always the first one laid off and really the only way you can make it in the world is if you schmooze with others and play the game. It all basically sucks!!!
