[quote:Hello 13907519:MV8xNzAxMTA2XzMwNDc0ODUwXzlGMjRFQ0Y1] [quote:Mysterion 7405686:MV8xNzAxMTA2XzI4Njk0NzcyXzQ1RkRGOUY1] Any movie or movement that calls for... 1- Ceasing of bailouts to banks and corporations 2- The dismantlement of the FED and the money multiplier / reserve banking system worldwide 3- Withdrawing support from the IMF and the World Bank 4- Allowing the development of alternative currencies and banks 5- Refusing international taxes 6- Getting informed 7- Speaking up and connecting with others 8- Banking locally 9- Buying and investing responsibly 10- Joining a coalition to keep the Internet fair and open 11- Supporting independent media 12- Supporting organic non-GMO farming 13- Joining movements that reform the election processes (voting transparency and ending campaign financing in the way it is no in the US at least) 14- Advocating renewable energy 15- Encouraging critical mass actions ...is definitely not a "scam" in my book, and is the kind of film and documentary the whole world needs to see, imo, even if one thinks that not every fact stated in the film is correct, and even if I do agree that it's weird that they haven't uploaded it for free, and that they actually should have done so. But it's all right if it's not that expensive and they want to make back some of the money they've spent over the years of getting the info and making this documentary. Plus, you can still download it as torrents and watch it from a few links for free so I don't see why you're complaining so much. <snip> The seed is planted. It is up to you to water it.
They recently decided to release the film for free to get it out to as many people as fast as possible. They said they are still relying on donations and DVD sales to help cover the huge costs. Even though I'm very wary of 'movements', I support the film because it wraps up most of the stuff we talk about (see list in the quote above). I don't agree with everything in the film and will ignore the new-agy parts that are only suggestions, anyway. So long as power moves from the massive command and control centres (banking/financial/corporate systems) back to the individuals, I'll support it. That's my litmus test -- who gets the power? Does the individual or does some incorporated entity get to control us? As soon as ANY movement proposes swapping one gigantic command and control system with another (eg Zeitgeist, socialism, religion/new age etc.), then I'm out. PS: Most of the negative comments in this thread are from people who haven't seen the movie. You have to ask yourself what their agenda is?... why do they want to destroy any movement that threatens the current power system without even knowing what the movie is about? Who does that benefit? While we are arguing about insignificant minutia, the nwo juggernaut moves on. http://www.thrivemovement.com .
