[quote:Anonymous Coward 2568397:MV8xNzA0MjYzXzI4MTY4NzM1X0U1QkQxNjc=] Go to the Midwifery Today website at www.midwiferytoday.com I'm pretty sure they have a search feature. I read an article in one of their fairly current magazines about cutting the umbilical cord with a candle. This is the cleanest way. Of course they definitely advocate waiting until all blood transfer from the placenta is over. But eventually you are going to want to cut the cord, otherwise the baby is going to be attached to the placenta for way too long. Lots of good information on that site about waterbirth, homebirth, etc. etc. [/quote]
