Hypothetical - What if Chinese forces attack and invade America?

It's just another normal day of events - people go about their daily lives, their jobs, the dow moves around a bit, typical news BS.
But suddenly Chinese subs surface off the west coast and start firing missiles at major American cities. Kind of like what they did last year - only this time they are firing nuclear weapons.
They set off EMP bursts to fry all electronics in the area, then annihilate the west coast, and follow it up with an amphibious landing and a push through the Mexico border?
The U.S. is caught with its pants down. Its most powerful weapons and ground forces stationed in far away foreign wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and many others in the hundreds of foreign military bases/colonies in the world.
The Chinese basically have free reign. Facing scattered police and national guard units - maybe a few militia thrown in. The American people are hardly on a war footing - more concerned about facebook, iPhones, Justin Beiber, etc. The military is too occupied with foreign wars and has no homeland defense strategy.
I think the Chinese would steam roll over America, reaching as far as the Mississippi within the first week, and would probably capture Washington before U.S. forces could even arrive from Afghanistan.
One thing America does have though is LOTS of gun owners. 80 million of them with 300 million gun. The real war would start once the occupation begins.
Don't think it's possible? How about todays article on yahoo about 3,000 miles of Chinese nuclear bunkers? Or this article from Vice-Chairman Of China's Military Commission:

It shows how concerned the Chinese are about overpopulation bringing down their nation. They see expansion as the inevitable and natural solution, to gain land and resources for their people. America is target #1 for colonization, and China is apparently preparing for not just war - but invasion of the continental U.S.
Worse are the racial superiority views expressed by the Chinese general. Very much like the third reich - believing that their race entitles them to rule the world.
Don't dismiss the idea. An invasion of America will happen IF the Chinese believe it will stop their population level from imploding their country.
I have no idea how they would do it. But there's a reason George Soros, Rockefeller, and all these globalists keep saying China is the model. If the people in the American government are devoted to communism then they wouldn't think twice about using a foreign communist army to invade - to do what the U.S. military would not.
