At mid-month, Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney warned that Canadians - that's you, that's us - had best get our consumer debt in order or face dire consequences when the world's economy collapses like a cheap tent.
Yet today is Boxing Day. Everything gets cheaper today, even tents.
Today makes Christmas shopping look like amateur hour. There are deals galore and, if one credit card is maxed out, there's always another.
Or the shops will sign you up on the spot. And why wouldn't they, with interest rates at 28%?
