There are some very smart folks on GLP, so, I would love for a few of them to explain HOW a company like RADIO SHACK is still in business while major powerhouse companies like Sears is going under?!
It is an impossibility. The earnings statements show STAGNANT or losing revenue, over a 4 year period.

Yet they are able to be sponsors for NASCAR, have a partnership with T-Mobile (which isn't all that great in terms of rivaling ATT or VZW), they canned 1500 managers out of 5000 in 2004 (there are 7500 Radio Shack locations)... and cancelled their stock options.
Radio Shack gave up selling "Realistic" brand products, and sell only their own brand of batteries, which, in the days of WalMart and Supermarkets, does one REALLY need to go to Radio Shack for average performing batteries (and provide your full name, address and telephone number in order to complete the transaction)?
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW THIS OPERATION STILL EXISTS? On a purely anecdotal level, there are several Radio Shack stores in my immediate location (as if there were a need for more than one) and they always appear EMPTY! HOW HOW HOW does this company even meet RENT requirements, let alone salaries, etc., and yet can sponsor a NASCAR race and other events?
