[quote:Bowyn Aerrow:MV8xNzQ2MTYyXzI4OTUzNzg2X0U5RjhBNTM0] Nope. Sirius is laying on the couch, softly snoring as she normally does this time of night. My Dog's name is Sirius named after some star... ;-) For the last month we have had deep fog roll in about the same time the sun sets, we barely see the moon most nights this time of year. Forget stars. [/quote]
Original Message
Is anyone else noticing Sirius glowing incredibly bright tonight and flickering intensely? Could anyone in North America confirm if they see this or not? My wife and I noticed it at about 9:25pm CDT.
Sirius is located just below Orion, and is visible in the southern sky right now. It looks CRAZY... I realize this is an atmospheric disturbance but none of the other stars are having this effect that I can tell.
