A man hiding from police in an attic was turned in by his 2-year-old son.

Valdet Gjeloshi, 29, was arrested Saturday and faces charges of violation of probation and resisting an officer without violence.

On Saturday, St. Petersburg police went to a home on the 700 block of 62nd Avenue North looking for Gjeloshi, who was wanted for violating probation on a felony battery charge.

Megan Merschen, the mother of his Gjeloshi's son, told officers Gjeloshi wasn't there and gave several other locations where he might be found, an arrest report says.

Then, the toddler told police his father was in the attic.1
