Usually lapse-rate profiles are pretty low and a cold front with strong winds just passes by. This will not be anything like that, it will be a very strong wind producer, along with thunderstorms.

The instability and shear within this area will be enough to produce thunderstorm producing tornadoes and the directional shear indicates low topped supercells are likely.

With any case if you are in the San Francisco Bay, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo areas you will be in this forecast.
