What if I tell you that the PTB did the same to South Africa.
All they wanted was to gain control over South Africa's minerals. They used apartheid as the reason for bringing about "democracy" In those days everyone was still asleep, so they got away with it.

For example, the biggest mining group in South Africa is called Anglo American and they are owned by JP Morgan.
