But the serpent is a give away sign that there must have been something of importance in that area to the ancients... :inflow:
I'm not suggesting anything else. Just that the place of the 13th zodiac and the new IBEX discovery are exactly the same. I didn't know we even had a 13th one... Something must've happened in ancient times that caused people to see filaments of plasma which they referred to as serpents and dragons. If it normally doesn't glow, something has to make it more dense in order for it to glow and be seen with our eyes. Much more denser. Perhaps a dense plasma cloud? Streaming in from the heliosphere and into our solar system, unseen and invisible for now. Pushing the heliosphere inwards and making it shrink, causing more cosmic rays to reach Earth and the magnetosphere.
:Goofy Thum: Independent investigators, with an eye to electrical phenomena, suggest that our early ancestors saw heaven-spanning plasma discharge in the sky, when Earth moved through a more dense plasma environment. Earthshaking electrical activity not only decimated early cultures but dominated human imagination for thousands of years. But only in recent decades have plasma experts identified complementary plasma formations in the laboratory and in remote space. http://thunderbolts.info/tpod/2004/arch/040810mystery-cosmic-dragon.htm At a time when the magnetic field of the earth experienced a major influx of charged particles from space, radiant plasma shapes with a heavily threaded surface might have formed that could go down in history as snake-like dragons covered in feathers. But were such forms contained within the upper atmosphere of the earth or, as others have suggested, external to the earth (though very close)? That question remains to be answered. One objective of Peratt’s work is to identify the precise placement of the formations, by comparing tens of thousands of ancient images carved on stone around the world. He believes that simple geometry, in combination with global positioning data, can settle the question. http://thunderbolts.info/tpod/2005/arch05/050513serpent.htm
I wish I could embed this image, but this is really strange. The new IBEX finding shows the interstellar wind is flowing into our solar system from this exact area.
Above scorpio and between libra and saggitarius.

I just happened to come across this tidbit of information which points to that EXACT spot IBEX has identified as being the entry point of the interstellar wind.
Astrologers, or those interested in the historical development of astrology, will point out that some systems include a thirteenth sign of the zodiac known as
Ophiuchus Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. This constellation lies between Sagittarius and Libra, somewhat over Scorpio.
In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries this constellation was called Alpheichius. Known as the "God of Invocation", this house was named after the legendary healer, Ophiuchus (Asclepius). The two serpents in his hands later replaced the twin
ribbons
around the caduceus which became a symbol for physicians. Plato called this thirteenth sign
"the god of the underworld".
I didn't even know there was a 13th zodiac.
