Blessing of The Throats
Today at the 8:00 AM Mass at our parish, Our Lady of Sorrows, I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and prayed for all with special needs and intentions. Prior to receiving Holy Communion, I made an Act of Contrition
After receiving the Most Sacred Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, I knelt in silent commune with Him. First and always, giving thanks for His many blessings and graces and then professing my love for Him.
After calling to Jesus in prayer with these words,"speak Lord if it be Your will, Your servant listens." Jesus responded with the following words:
* "It has been said and My people know it is right to fear the Lord, for retribution is Mine."
Jesus continued on saying: "I want all my children to come to Me out of love and not fear for then I will extend to them My great peace and serenity! Go in peace to love and serve the Lord, continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen." *
Note: In my heart and through the church's teaching we have learned that even an imperfect Act of Contrition during the sacrament of Penance is acceptable to God. However Jesus' love for us is so great that is deepest desire is that we do what is right because of our great love for Him.
