[quote:Epic Beard Guy:MV8xNzc1OTAyXzMwODA0MjE1X0U5QzQ1MjEx] The next civil war will be brought on by economic collapse caused by progressive spending over the last 100 years. The government will call up the troops to put down the protests. A poll of the US military says less than 1/3 of the troops would accept an unconstitutional order to round up American citizens. That puts a lot of soldiers on the side of the Constitutionalists. When politicians start killing citizens, the shit will hit the fan. I don't think there will a lot of foriegn involvment, unless you count George Soros instigating the show down. The result will be a lot less certain. It could fragment the country into several areas. The center of America would stick together if posible, but Texas may split off on their own. Washington and Oregon could go either way. Unless Californication can pick up and move to the north east, they are going to be real lonely drowning in their debt. The north east will have to take parts of Michigan and Illinois with them. They can take Washington DC as their capital, because nobody wants that corrupt shit-hole anyway. I hope none of this happens, but nobody in Washington DC right now is doing anything to stop it. They just keep spending like there is no tomorrow. If they keep it up, they may be right. :militia: [/quote]
I'm wondering what a modern day civil war in the US would look like?
How would it happen? What would happen? How would it effect the average citizen? Would we all be taking up guns and aiming them at family and friends with differing opinions?
Would the righty's kill the lefty's?
Instead of using guns would hackers attack the govn't websites, leak info and possibly hack other tactical targets such has power plants, water systems, rail.. etc.
Would some giant corporation step in and form it's own govn't?
Would there be martial law, and if so.. do you think some our own military soldiers would defect and defend whatever side they choose?
Would there be an Eeastern US and Western US or possibly even more... the Southern states, the NorthEastern States..etc.
I know it's pretty bleak but just something I've been thinking about for a while and I'm wondering what others are thinking?
Is a civil war even possible in the United States this day and age?
