One of the most difficult things President Barack Obama has to do in the 2012 presidential race is to make American voters forget about his campaign slogan of 2008: ‘Hope and Change.’
After all, many are tired of hoping and feel the change Obama promised never saw the light of day. Therefore, the challenge is for Obama and his re-election people to come up with a slogan that won’t remind anyone about ‘Hope and Change,’ yet give his sought-after supporters something to latch onto again.
If it has any reminiscence of ‘Hope and Change,’ even the staunchest repeat Obama supporter will say, ‘Yeah, right - like I’m going to fall for that nonsense again.’
According to Yahoo News, the re-election campaign is tinkering with new slogans such as: Winning the Future. However, one could easily argue that ‘now’ is Obama’s future – three years since he’s taken office as President – and the future hasn’t been won yet! Therefore, a slogan like ‘Winning the Future’ can’t possibly do justice for him.
