Does anyone else feel like you are talking to cavemen when you are out in the real world?

We begin to look at ourselves as already awakened or wise and thus we look at everyone else in society who does not speak of the same things as un-awakened or unwise. Our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, bosses, leaders… all of them suddenly become the ‘sheep’ while we remain the ‘good guys’, the awakened, in our mind. We see them as blind to reality and judge them accordingly for this. Thus we seek to awaken them by telling them our perspective on life, on reality, and when they reject this notion or do not understand what we are saying we become frustrated and angry. This of course only shows how un-awakened we truly are, for, a truly awakened person will not act out in frustration or anger at anyone, even those who are rejecting what we ‘know’ to be the truth. Christ and Buddha are perfect examples of this.
:clappa:
Well I don't think we really get angry and frustrated towards the dumb people, we get angry and frustrated because we feel lonely in such a drab and dire world. Everyone looks for company. We get sick when we can't find it.
Goodness! That explaination went in one brain cell and out the other.
Original Message
I just got back from the bar and all I saw around me was primitive consciousness. All the conversations revolved around sex, alcohol, and tribal rituals (sports). I almost feel like an alien when I talk to old friends or strangers. I meditate and spend a lot of time in deep thought and when I am around a group of people, it's almost like I can predict their thoughts and feelings. I just try to pretend like I care about trivial matters that effect them, but it's almost impossible for me to involve myself in their lives because I can see the outcome of all their relationships and actions. It's a very detached and lonely existence, but I'm not sure what to do about it. It's like I am an observer and operating at a level above 3d reality.
Anyone else feel this way?
