We just had a Severe Wind announcement scroll across the tv for Wyoming and heading our way. [/quote] They're saying tomorrow during the day for us here in Idaho, once this front crosses the rockies watch out for lots of tornado outbreaks once that cold air meets the warmer air.......not good. 82mph winds in Boulder right now ! 100 mph+ expected by morning ! Not including gusts.
DENVER — High Wind Warnings are posted for the west side of the Front Range including the Foothills and Continental Divide for Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday morning.
It’s a classic “Colorado Hurricane” setup with 80-100mph wind gusts expected.
We call this a Category Two hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale. You might remember the high wind event last month when Peak 7 in Breckenridge recorded a wind gust of 126mph.
