[quote:Zedakah:MV8xNzkxNjcyXzI5Nzg1NzAzXzZGNTI2QTU2] [quote:Epic Beard Guy:MV8xNzkxNjcyXzI5Nzg1NTg5XzQ0REFERDJF] According to a woman on the preppers show on Nat Geo, you can coat your eggs with with food grade mineral oil and store them for a year. We just started that experiment, so I can't confirm that yet.
Wax also works, since it hardens at cool temperatures. The common method is to coat it in an oil-based surface and then coat that with bran or flour. You should be able to store them to 6 months to a year, but one bad egg can spoil the bunch. So if it doesn't work for you, then check to make sure the eggs were fresh when you started.
For example, if the power goes out, even those with generators could conserve power by using the rechargeable solar path lights like those found at home improvement stores as interior lighting.
Leave them out during the day to charge, and bring them in for inside lights at night.
