[quote:Anonymous Coward 1310640:MV8xODAwNzc5XzI5OTQzMDA3X0YzRUMzOUE3] [quote:Anonymous Coward 10351213:MV8xODAwNzc5XzI5OTQyOTA0X0REODgzNEY3] If your leaning towards the AK 47 you should really take a look at the czech Vz 58. The VZ 58 is everything the AK should have been. They both shoot the 7.62x39 round but the VZ is a milled receiver the AK is stamped. VZ is striker fired which in turn has less moving parts. VZ is more accurate, Lighter, smaller. Vz design makes it have a more linear recoil and less muzzle rise. The are both uber reliable Vz ergo's are light years ahead of the AK. Vz is quicker to point. I am unbiased and the The VZ is a far superior weapon than the AK. That being said the M4 is better than the VZ in some area's well most area's But not in reliablity and the 7.62x39 round is some great stopping power. Also the VZ is super quik and easy to strip and clean. Look around and dont buy into all the fan boy bs about each weapon. If you can afford a high end AR grab it but if you cant look at a VZ 58 here are two reviews of the AK vs VZ58 buy Hickok45 great vids Shooting the VZ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIRN_XKMyhI Strip and compare of the VZ 58 vs AK 47 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TexeQ0QPFU
czech weapons tend to be superior in many ways. excepr for maybe the vz52 rifle. You lot can have the originals, in the states very few semi 58's, the aftermarket receivers have some problems, but parts kits were cheap and plentiful at one time. Mags are a kind of problem but not too bad, just no new ones, and since they are aluminum, they can be damaged easily. Marstar still have any?
