[quote:Anonymous Coward 11754049:MV8xODA3NTg5XzMwMDczOTIxXzFDNDVDN0NC]
I apologize if I came off as requiring pity. It's not in my nature to seek pity for myself. it's more of my instinct to take on the suffering of others due to a deep sense of integrity and gut intuition that giving rather than taking from others is a noble and honorable truth.
I wasn't speaking to your words Sammie, when I spoke of pity. I had picked up on some earlier dispassionate comments - the token 'here have a cookie and feel better' that 1218376 mentioned, and was offering the converse. I did discern a great deal of empathy you have for those who are overwhelmed. It is people who feel the most empathy for others who take on the world and their problems most profoundly. So much so that it becomes hard to be social and still function with so much weight on the shoulders. At times I've had to recluse myself from social pursuits for long periods in order to cope with living. It almost seems beneficial to have the chrysalis of this internet phenomena to act as a barrier which sadly, breeds the pathos of isolation. I don't believe we were meant to take that much on. I don't think there would be reason for it if not for the growing contrast between idealism and greed. What can't be reasoned away is the growing fear for the future of the human race that is at times insurmountable and I find when my search for a solution proves fruitless, I am struck with the prospect of voluntary euthanasia, at least for the sick and elderly - taboo, abhorrent, a cowardly way to validate tyranny. If not servitude, or revolution, for those who have outgrown their productivity what else could be offered. Would that be an offering to our captors or to the humane amongst us? (rhetorical... or not)
I'm done
I no longer see any of it as reality.
It's all a fabrication of lies, and one lie leads to another until you realize it was all lies.
