The film didn't show people en masse just dropping dead, which would be happening in that scenario.

This is interesting though, you ought to check it out:

The BP oil rig disaster is not yet over.

Far from it.
That was probably the beginning.
Methinks the whole BP oil rig event and the events that followed it was rigged. (escuse the pun)
Something was 'caused' and 'effected' following those events.
What exactly Im not yet sure, but its probably linked in some way to a massive undersea Methane explosion event in the future.

Did The Knowing movie actually show a Methane explosion and not a gigantic CME based ELE event?

Does this look like a CME based event or does it look like some kind of an Earth based, underground explosion?
See all those letters exploding out? Does that look like how it should be if it were a CME event?

Also note that you can clearly see the sun's specular reflection on the globe at the NorthEast position on the globe. The Sun looks normal. Why would the movie poster show a massive CME based event affecting only a portion of the globe?

This is a real cause for concern, because there have been scientific papers published that relate a previous ELE to a gigantic methane explosion.
