Original Message My purpose for posting this here is that I have only been made aware of a situation yesterday and I have to have this resolved first thing this morning......

My question......if a disabled person goes into a nursing home, and the administrator applies for Medicaid on his behalf.....and if Medicaid ACCEPTS him.....does the nursing home still get his monthly disability check?

My daughter and I are getting two different stories. The social worker told me yesterday that the facility has a legal right to his monthly disability check and that Medicaid only covers what he matches.....

The administrator told my daughter that if Medicaid accepts his application, then they will cover his whole stay and his disability check will stay in his account untouched.

Anyone here know anything about this?
