An oil tanker(s) was pulled under water into the gulf by sub and oil was released, doesn't take much oil that floats to the surface to cover a very large surface area as it spreads out...the tar balls were dropped by plane just off shore under the cover of night rain storms when most people are indoors to wash up on the beaches...and somewhere else the spewing "oil pipe" was filmed in a large saltwater fish tank with the oil being recirculated back though the pipe skimmed off the tank top...sea critters were added to give it the real feel/real look...dont forget NASA does sea disasters as well as moon landings...next mystery scooby doo,lol...they aren't called psyops for nothing...
