There is also the subject of Ezekiel’s Wheel. A suspiciously large amount of people claim that the “wheel within a wheel” that Ezekiel saw was a spaceship. This claim was made in Erich von Daniken’s bestseller “Chariots of the Gods?” The elites promoted the book to the point that it became a huge international bestseller because it promotes the idea that aliens are our creators. The fact that it sold as well as it did is evidence, in itself, that nothing within this book threatened the establishment. In fact, this book helped promote the “aliens are our creators” theory which is precisely why it was promoted as hard as it was. Has Satan propagated this theory because he inevitably plans on counterfeiting the “rapture?” Has he chosen spaceship as the most believable way to counterfeit the great “catching away” that many people call the rapture

Lets examine the exact passages which are used to support the claim that Ezekiel had an encounter with a UFO.

16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. (Ezekiel 1:16)

The wheel within a wheel is translated as the wheel in the middle of a wheel. The Hebrew word tavek is the word from which “in the middle” is translated. It means “midst” or “middle.” The Bible goes on to state that the wheels have the appearance of Beryl or Chrysolite. Chrysolite or Beryl is a gemstone that is yellowish green in color and is translucent. This means that light passes through it, and one can see images through the material from the other side. This does not sound like a solid metallic spaceship like many would claim. What then is it?

Is Ezekiel symbolically encoded? We kill cover this in detail later in depth, but one should realize that Ezekiel chapter 1 is written very similarly to Revelation. In Ezekiel, we find the same terminology which points to a deeper meaning only revealed through symbol. Could these wheels be figurative, or it not completely figurative, could they point us towards the deeper reality of what these wheels actually were?

Does wheel symbolize anything in the Bible? Yes, wheel is used to represent a whirlwind

Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: (Isaiah 5:28)

The Hebrew word which is translated wheel also means whirlwind.

Strong’s H1534 – wheel, whirl, whirlwind, whirling

We see in Job 38:1 that God spoke through a whirlwind.

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, (Job 38:1)

A different whirlwind in the Bible provides us another clue.

And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (2 Kings 2:11)

How interesting! Elijah was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind. This whirlwind aka wheel serve as a portal into heaven. As stated earlier, this wheel was translucent meaning people could see through it. This would be a probable aspect of a supernatural portal created by God. Now imagine a large ethereal yellowish green translucent wheel in your head, then imagine a smaller wheel within the midst of the larger. Note that the wheel’s in Biblical times were solid and did not have spokes. What does the picture in your mind’s eye look like to you? A portal!

Ezekiel was first introduced into the scenes outlined in Ezekiel 1 through a whirlwind, “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.” (Ezekiel 1:4) All of Ezekiel’s communications with God and his interactions with the cherubim happened after coming into contract with this whirlwind. This whirlwind seems to definitely be some sort of an archaic imagery describing a portal. When Ezekiel’s breaks his correspondence with God he does this to the sounds of a great rushing (Ezekiel 3:13). Why would he hear a great sound of rushing ending his communication with God? Is this rushing the sound of travel through the portal?

Lets take another look at the scenes that unfolded around Ezekiel after coming in contact with the whirlwind.

“…And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it… This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.” (Ezekiel 1:26-28)

Ezekiel saw the LORD’s throne. He then say the LORD himself. How would this be possible unless Ezekiel was seeing through, or had himself gone through a portal?

Notice that John also spoke of seeing the heavenly throne and the one sitting upon it. How did he get there? Through a door. A doorway acts as a portal from one place to another.

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. (John 4:1-2)

Many people claim that the creatures in Ezekiel were spacecraft. Were they really?

5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. (Ezekiel 1:5-6)

Many claim that the wings of the creatures were aircraft wings. These wings are not described as massive metal wings. The word from which wings is translated is the Hebrew word Kanaph, it means “bird wing, edge, border, corner, shirt.” If these wings were some sort of spaceship wings, one would think that he would described them as massive and metal. We are given nothing in the description to indicate that these wings were radically different from ordinary flesh and blood wings.

Lets take a closer look at these four winged creatures in Ezekiel chapter 1.

5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings...their wings touched one another. Each one of them went straight forward, without turning as they went. (Ezekiel 1:5-6,9)

Now lets compare the creatures of Ezekiel 1 to the cherubim of 1 Kings 6:27.

27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house. (1 Kings 6:27)

Its safe to say that these winged creatures were the cherubim angels, not aircraft or spaceships. These four winged creatures sound remarkably similar to the cherubim in Solomon’s Temple.

Another chapter of Ezekiel provides more clues. Within Ezekiel 10 we are presented with a remarkably similar vision to the one in Ezekiel 1 (the study of this article). Within this vision, Ezekiel directly identifies these four winged creatures as cherubim (Ezekiel 10:18-21). These cherubim are the same sort of angel as Satan (Ezekiel 28:14). Ezekiel later states that these Cherubim are, indeed, the same creatures spoken of in Ezekiel 1 (Ezekiel 10:15). Therefore, these winged creatures are not aircraft, they are angels.

The Bible states that they have the appearance of a man.

“Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man” (Ezekiel 1:5)

Hebrews states that humans have entertained angels unaware. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” (Hebrews 13:2).

If these are angels, then why are they described with seemingly non-angelic imagery? For example, these creatures are described as having brass feet. “And their feet were straight feet… and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass” (Ezekiel 1:7). As mentioned above, Ezekiel 1 is written symbolically in the same way that revelation is written symbolically. In fact, the very description used of the creatures feet were also used of Jesus’ feet in Revelation. “And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.” (Revelation 1:15). This is not literal, brass is used to represent judgement against sin. (Deut 28:22-23). Feet is used to represent conduct or action. (Job 29:15, Psalm 119:101, Psalm 119:105). So this passage is stating that these angelic creatures mission involved judgement regarding sin. Concerning the symbolic description of the angels, if one were to take the description of the feet of the creatures as being brass as God providing evidence that these creatures are UFO’s, then, by the same logic, one could say the same thing about Jesus, as he was described in the same manner.
