Original Message I took genetics in college and I realize that there are recessive genes, but no one in either of our families has blonde hair and no one has blue eyes.

I did my DNA testing to make sure that she was mine, and it came up with 99.98%. I'm interested in what may cause this because recessive genes can't pass that many generations. How can this be?

Editing because our family trees on both sides all the way to our great grandparents had brown hair and brown eyes. My wife was a cheater during our marriage, that's why I did the testing.

Recessive genes come out, yes, but how many generations of brown haired and brown eyes people does it take to make a blonde haired blue eyed little girl?
