I totally reject the notion of "indigos", it's new age hooey and has nothing to do with true star children. Many of the things listed in your link under "more adult characteristics" are things the indigo crowd are using to justify truly bad behaviors in kids and young adults or those with severe and clinical emotional problems. Don't confuse that with the true, deep, and spiritual nature of star children (or star seeds).
^ THIS - very true. Indigo is a moot term. Brad and Francie Steiger published a book decades ago about Star Children, very informative read. Star Children are typically born in years ending with a 6, and fit almost all traits on the SC chart. Those here condemning are not evolved beings, some are jealous, most just sheeple. Genuine SC ignore these types and never engage in debate/discussion because they know debating whether or not SC actually exist is pointless and not part of their more important mission.
Ok, I dont understand something here and you seem like a good person to ask about it. Why do so many people seem to not like the word indigo so much ? It seems a little bit like apples & oranges to me . Isnt it just a word that is used to give refrence to a certain group of people. Is there more to this that maybe you could explain for me ?
Don't usually partake in these discussions, but this one caught my attention because of the stark duality present. I think people have come to resent the term "Indigo" because so many have used it as an excuse for arrogance and bad behavior. It is real, and people really ARE being born with... well, let's say, 'altered' abilities. I have noticed, in the last 40 years or so, a big difference in new born babies. In the past, babies were pretty unfocused for a good while... their eyes didn't track, much less make full, awake eye-to-eye contact in the first few weeks after birth. I have 26 children, ranging in age from 2 weeks to 15 years old, that I consider my 'grandchildren'... not all directly mine, of course, but all from parents I once 'parented'. I have been either present at these children's births, or soon thereafter. Of that number, more than half made full eye contact within hours of birth, and all but three, within the first two weeks. Those three had/have more 'traditional' developmental patterns. Several of them have these stereotypical "indigo" behavioral problems that so many new age parents are foolishly enabling. It's not easy being one of these children... they aren't like most people; they don't think in the same ways or have typical priorities. They should be helped to understand How to relate to others, how to find their interests and their 'calling' and how to develop in their own beneficial ways, imho. We have all come here to learn, to Experience physical life. Part of that experience is learning to handle limitations of body and emotion gracefully, to develop abilities to full potential, to recognize that there is, and Always Will Be, greater and lesser than ourselves and to cultivate compassion... That is the ideal anyway. This is a time of choices. We have an opportunity here that many are throwing away due to this obsession with their angst, and sometimes justified narcissism. Meh, just some blathering opinions from an old woman that remembers. Take it for what it's worth. I know it isn't an easy task, but you young'uns better catch some snap and quit all this futile fighting with petty windmills. Time is getting very short. Realize that you are here to make a difference. Accept responsibility and learn to use that energy properly... you can change the fabric of reality as most people know it... for good or ill. Are you willing to BE what is Becoming? Can you help your fellow beings grow into their greater potential, thereby facilitating your own growth? I sure hope so. It's what most of you came here to do... to be the bridge in this birthing. :hf:
Wow, 26 kids ! Your thoughts sound amazing. You sound like an amazing person. :hf:
I'd like to see if anyone else can relate to this list. I'm sure if it was that dead on accurate for me then it has be for others also. One of the traits
is the following : ~
Feel very comfortable lounging, and would rather sit on the floor on a pillow than in a hard, uncomfortable chair. (Would prefer sitting on the floor in school, and business meetings if they could get away with it!
)
I hate wooden chairs , I'm on the living room floor right now infact , I have a sofa and chairs and nobody else is here. That's funny, I didn't even realize
I was on the floor when I posted that just a minute ago.
There are atleast 50 other traits described
