Original Message First let me say that this information was supplied by a retired Oil exec. living in Thailand.

First we need to look at a map of the oil fields that underlay most of the continental US. Most are connected to each other.

During the process of removing the oil, water is pumped in the underground caverns as the oil is pumped out.

This has a two fold purpose. One it kind of pressurizes the cavern and makes the oil removal easier. And two it keep explosive gases from concentrating.

Well with falling water tables throughout the US and basically a lack of ground water to keep the caverns full has created an explosive situation as we are all witnessing. When the Gases and Oxygen reach a certain mixtures, instantaneous combustion occurs. This has reach a point where it is pretty much out of control. No stopping it. It will just have to run its course according to him. Now I'm no expert but this guy seems to now his stuff. Any additional information that you all on GLP have to add to this would be appreciated. I also am still in touch with him, so I can ask questions. But he is the type that gives you a little info and expects you to do a little digging. sk
