Original Message Serious question. Who is the one true God?

It makes no sense that there are thousands of religions, each claiming The One True God.

How are we supposed to figure out which one true god is THE ONE TRUE GOD?

Another serious question. How do you convince yourself that what you believe in is the right belief and all others must be either converted to your belief or shunned?

I'm sure it would mess things up terribly if we all agreed to let each other think we posses faith in The One True God, when we secretly know that the other guys are pitiful, misled fools who have put their faith in a lie.

The more I try to find The One True God to lay my faith before, the more I find reason to doubt there is a God that can be known at all.
