Incorruptible by Bea
Throw 'em down or double down, it's all the same to me I'll own a slight advantage, this ain't my reality I'm not the game you asked for, not the rules you knew There's a hidden hand at work to make a game of me and you.
Yeah, you sold me down the river flush with bitter misery Isolation, love, becomes me in more ways than you can see But I'll raise you double nothing and never blink an eye The stakes seem too important to allow us room to lie.
I saw the game before you. You could say I see straight through you.
So now I'm the one just sitting here waiting I hear you talking in circles with nothing to say But the rush of the flush has got me thinking This is the hand I was meant to play And there's never been nothing that you wanted so much You say you'd tear it all down for just a single touch
I'm the one, I'm the one, but I'm not the one for you.
They say when dancing with the devil, the devil changes you As you can see I'm not affected so that story can't be true Or did you tell it backward to hide the lies you've told Thinking I would never discover the lies you've sold?
You shake your head and tell me that I've got the story wrong But look into my eyes and see what I've known for so long There's an angel and a devil used to push us to and fro But in games with odds like this, I'll choose the devil that I know.
I wrote the script we're playing You should see what they're all saying.
So now I'm the one here sitting here waiting Got the hand of all lifetimes and I'm calling your bluff I see you wet from the sweat, lip all a'trembling Are my games a bit too rough? And there's never been nothing you'd compare to this You say you'd tear it all down for just a single kiss.
I'm the one, I'm the one, but I'm not the one for you.
You're all in now You're wondering how Killing sacred cows My secret, special tao
When you sat down to the table, you were conceited, convinced And you thought you could play me, but there's something you missed I own a soul that's suffered and let it all go You came here playing God and left a devil that I know.
