[quote:REVELATIONxRaGe:MV8xODYwOTI2XzMxMDUyMTc4X0UxRTlFNjQ1] All right Ive heard this spouted out a lot and imnot going to shit on people for what they believe. For me I have always thought the speeding up of time was due to my perspective of time. When I was 8 and i would get grounded for a week it seemed like a week was for ever, now that i am older a week flys by. This is because of the differece in the amount of weeks I had expierienced. In case that came out messed up I could say it like this. when I was eight and i looked at the time frame of a year, i was looking at 1/8 of my entire existance, from that perspective it seemed like an amazingly longtime. Now that I am 30 and I look at the time frame of a year it is only 1/30 of my entire perspective and seems relatively shorter. Any body would feel the same because their perspective of time is always expanding there for the incremnts of time seem shorter and shorter [/quote]

Why time is speeding up
Technology as a tool has sped up time...
Technology is an extension of our mental selves, because of technology we are able to travel faster, communicate differently
Technology as an extension of our mental selves, changes our mental selves - alters - extends our perception of, just as an ax would be a physical tool to effect our physical environment
Technology closes the distance between two points in time and space
Cellphones - everyone is carrying around a wormhole in their pocket
Technology has compressed time & space:
Example 100,000 years ago if someone was on the other side of the planet they were really far away, but now we can wisper something on one side of the planet and b heard on the other side instantly.
