He was a smoker for about 50 years and just decided one day he was going to quit. Never smoked again. I have a friend who has been trying to quit for years now, she will quit for a few months but then go back to it. I really do believe it is all in the mind. Having self respect and knowing what you want goes a long way in changing. :)
Oh, how great that your father quite smoking AFTER you were grown - but he subjected you to it while you were growing up? Yeah, real self-respect. Many "parents" did that and didn't give a damn about the environment that their own children were exposed to. It is called child abuse.
hahahahahahahah I never knew my father until I was about to graduate from high school. I didn't even know where he lived. I grew up with my grandparents after both my parents up and left me at the hospital after I was born. I had to write to his mother to get a letter to him saying I wanted to meet him. So no, I was never inconvenienced or harmed in any way by his smoking. :)
God bless you for your concern. :)
Carrie, "darling" It will get better. Life shouldn't be tuff, it should be easy. prepare for easy. If it sucks before easy, then fix that first. Then easy.
No worries. :) I have been blessed. I have nothing to complain about.
I don't know why, I have had a really odd feeling about you, as if there is something familiar about you. I know I do not know you but I feel for some reason as if I do or should. Does that make any sense?
Completely. I get the same feeling about you. I don't light off on many people, but several have been instant friends just like we have always known each other. I think it's a personality thing, or we possibly have met. Ever lived in VA, DE, MA, or TX?
Nope, grew up in Kentucky but now living in Indiana. My sister lived in Fredrick, MD for a few years before moving to Australia and my mom lived in Reston, VA.
lol I don't think we have ever met. It was just an odd feeling like I knew you or something. I think it may be a personality thing.
