Eduardo Saverin, the billionaire co-founder of Facebook, has given up his U.S. citizenship ahead of the social network's initial public offering in a move that could slash his tax bill.
Saverin, who was friends with Mark Zuckerberg when they attended Harvard in 2004 and was Facebook's first investor, has a stake of four per cent - worth $3.84 billion - in the deal.
