[quote:ehecatl:MV8xODY4MTk0XzMxMTc4MjAzXzlFQzY4NTE4] [quote:psyoptics:MV8xODY4MTk0XzMxMTc3ODQ3X0E4MzMxMTg1] all this possible danger and what do we get....what? we do not get lots of electricity from the reaction. no do you know what we get? heat...that is all. just heat to boil water to make freaking steam..... then that stream can turn a turbin and rotate a generator. so all this is to just turn a run of the mill turbin generator. what about using the tides. or maybe bring up cold water from the bottom of the oceam and use the falling cold water to turn the turbin. both are not new ideas...and are in use in hawaii and have been for over 3 decades! FFS japan sits on a valcano! GEO-thermal. guess what it been in use in Hawaii as well... with the current solar pannel PV solar in only at 35% of what it could be. why do we need to use such highly volatile matter just to make freaking STEAM? any takers??? anyone? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ get this picture!
[quote:Anonymous Coward 16092064:MV8xODY4MTk0XzMxMTc3NjI2XzgzRjBBQjlG] I'm sure i read YOU suggest in previous threads we (the world )get rid on Nuclear energy? Why? Why have you failed to take into account the advancement of reactor design since the original Fukushima design concept from 40 years ago?
This is the way City and Industrial based people think. The fact is, is that the city people could all die off and the rural people would go on living just fine. But the city people cannot survive without the rural people. This I tell you. There are people who live perfectly happy lives, nay... I say happier lives, who live rurally and would never need to justify nuclear power. FAAAAARRRR better no power at all, than nuclear power. But it really is not like that. This is all backhanded pressure from the military establishment for the production of weapons. Nuclear Plants cost far more to build maintain and decommission than they ever earn in electricity. Alternative sources work best on the site of the end user for the most part, and that is how power production should be primarily, but TPTB want the masses to all be buying their electricity from the central source. That way they can all get their cut and maintain an iron grip on the power.
