I have read all of Zecharia Sitchin's books, and have wondered how the Egyptians could have missed Nibiru in their thinking. Robert Temple in "The Sirius Mystery" describes the remarkable knowledge the primitive African tribe the Dogon in Mali had about the star system Sirius, and how extraterrestrials from Sirius had given them that knowledge. This article brings it all together by examining interesting fact that as stars change their positions relative to us in the sky because of the precession of the equinoxes, Sirius remains fixed. This could only mean Sirius is the Sun's companion star, and that the Sun and Sirius have a common orbit. So the Egyptians didn't miss Nibiru after all, and this unites their cosmology with the Sumerians, and now we can look out on the night sky with confidence at "The Planet of the Crossing"
