This man was way out in front, metaphorically and inyafacy.
Many consider this particular track as the height of blasphemy, calling God dumb and maybe a little ugly on the side, but I see another side.
His rhetoric (and jammin' rap 80s style) is aimed squarely at TV evangelists and their passion to preach one thing and live another. All them Jimmys preaching humility while pissing in your pocket.

Philosophical? Prophetic? Smack in the mouth? Not blasphemous, just the ugly truth IMO .
