I AM what you may consider an athlete who exercises vigorously, regularly and I AM also an avid researcher and historian that uses a lot of brain power daily. Therefor, how can someone like me get enough protein for his body muscles and brain to be able to function at the top of my game? I feel that without all my egg and meat based protein diet, that I would be a hungry, lethargic lil wimp who couldn't think his way out of a wet paper sack, let alone break through it. Just FYI, I eat lots of fruits and vegetables as well.
Quorn, vegetables, and, as an athlete i imagine you're already on the protein shakes, and if you're not you should be! x
quorn isn't a real food it is genetically engineered fungus and soy should be avoided unless it is fermented --most meat replacement is soy avoid TVP as it is soy quinoa has protein but not nearly enough a vegan diet is not healthy at all a vegetarian diet can be healthy but you have to work at it quite a bit and protein is an issue
Original Message
there seems to be an interest in learning how to go about not eating meat and wether it is easy to do or not..
I have been asked about it ..so I thought Id start a thread for any vegan or vegetarian to contribute with advice
Seems many would like to take the step but just dont know how to go about it
Your advice and comments appreciated if it can help anyone take the move towards a non meat based diet
Much thanks
