Olympics Ceremonies to be Performed by London School Children
For the London Olympic ceremonies, audition process of children under the age group of 7-9 as well as 11-13 years has started. Approximately 1650 children has been auditioned for the London 2012 ceremonies Mass Movement team, which includes huge range of choreography as well as dance routines.
On July 27, around 900 children will perform in the opening ceremony of 2012 London Olympics. The magnificent event will be viewed by 80,000 people in the Olympic Stadium.

The extravaganza, costing the lion’s share of the £81million of public money set aside for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games and the Paralympics, is certain to be the most-watched global event of 2012, with hundreds of millions expected to be glued to their televisions around the world.
Directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle, of Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire fame, the show is inspired by Shakespeare and will have an ‘Isles Of Wonder’ theme.
But one of the dance routines currently looks like a down-at-heel version of Michael Jackson’s Thriller video while, at other times, the sessions resemble exercise time in a giant prison yard.

Now, artistic director Danny Boyle revealed that Olympic Stadium will be transformed into a British countryside for the $42 million ceremony.
