Original Message So i had been taking an anti anxiety medication called buspar for eight months, i called off when i was sick one day because i didnt have the money to fill my script and he told me he doesnt want any mechanics (i work maintenance in a factory) taking any medications and that if i wanted to keep my job i had to stop taking my medication. Can a boss force an employee to stop taking a medication that was perscribed by a dr? Because of him making me stop taking my meds i went threw withdraw pretty bad because i was forced to stop cold turkey and missed work because of it.

I was just wondering if there is any legal recourse i can take against my boss? Because of the time i missed they threatened to fire me and i had to jump through hoops to be able to keep this job.

Id realy be grateful if someone could help shed some light on the situation for me. I dont think its right what they did and am wondering if i should talk to a lawyer or not?

I do have anxiety problems and they helped me with it a lot. I dont know what to do really and am seeking some advice.
