We are basically DOOMED, to use a popular term. This planet has been destroyed, not by the average person but by those who control us. They control us, not the other way around. As such, we do not have real choice in what they do. "They" have created nuclear plants, over 400, worldwide. We are continually threatened by these timebombs. Look at Fukushima, for example. Our existence depends on that disaster not getting any worse. TPTB wanted cheap power, meaning, they wanted a way to increase the profits of themselves and industry. What we got was/is extinction level disaster looming.
Then there's the destruction of the Gulf of Mexico. Need I say more?
Without the intervention of benevolent ETs, we're essentially done. We, the people, have no ability to do the right thing for this planet. Don't give me this crap that "we did this to ourselves and now it's our responsibility to fix it." We are oppressed, pure and simple and statements like that one are useless.
