But it's not her job to support you.  If she's so broke that she can't pay for her car repairs then obviously you're imposing.  Get a second job or replace the job you have now.  Rent that room.

What you're really saying when you boil it down is I want to live beyond my means, how can I convince my sister to help me do that?

She has a child, don't you see how selfish it is to take away from what she could be doing for her child to help you when instead you could simply live within your means?

Original Message So I have an apartment and am living by myself and I have a job only bout 60 hours every two weeks. The place is in my sisters name but she is living with her ex and has a baby. I don't have a car either. My sister does but it is in the shop and the people she is living with blackmailed her by saying you have to get rid of the apartment in order to fix her car we are on a very tight budget I'm pretty much poor ! I lost my mom 3 years ago and the family grew away . So I wouldnt have a place to stay I would be in a difficult situation what can I do ? I'm 24 what can I tell my sister ?
