Are you prepared??
**Do you a safe place away from coastline and above 500m?
Find one now>>>>google earth. Somewhere close enough to where you live that you can get there on foot if needed.(If electricity is out there would be no fuel and also the roads may be blocked.)The place you choose should have fresh water, a flowing creek. Is there a shelter or do you have to build one.Caves maybe???
**Have a bugout backpack for each walking person. There maybe lots you wish to take but minimize it to as little as possible.
Bottle for water,eating utensils, Dynamo torch, a couple lighters,change of clothes,couple pairs of socks(very important to look after your feet buy good shoes),dehydrated food for your journey, first aid kit,soap,small camping stove,(sold at camping stores big enough for a small pot and fueled by small gas canister),sturdy midsize knife,raincoat and hood,(plastic stops windchill), fishing line and hooks.
**If possible have stash of supplies half way to bugout place if you have a long walk. How would you travel with your family. Make a plan for each member.How would you move with young children.
**How would you survive once you are at your bug out place. Whatever food you managed to stash will soon go. Learn how to harvest food from the forests and trapping and fishing.Keep this in mind when choosing your safe place.
