Original Message There was once a time when a woman showing her ankles was a promiscuous act...now look at us. And I don't mean just the fact that half the internet is porn or all the people going to the bars and trying to get laid....

What I mean is, have we, as a society, damaged our culture sexually?

Sex isn't used for it's natural purposes anymore:

The cosmetics industry works because lipstick and blush mimic the flushed sexual response of increased blood flow during sexual arousal, therefore the subconscious mind responds on a sexual level, therefore creating a false sexual connection/attraction where there is none naturally.

Beer gets sold because theres a hot girl in the ad, therefore your mind anchors beer to sex, and the next time you buy a beer, your sex drive prompts you to want the beer you saw in the ad.

Sex is promoted everywhere to the masses at all times...its inescapeable.

People now shop for dates on dating sites like they used to shop a sears catalogue.

People go practically naked on the beach, cities flaunt gay pride parades...I even read a thread on here that sears now sells books about beastiality.

The dovorce rate is over 50%, abortion and ilegitamate children are rampant, and the traditional family is disintegrating. Kids are raised now not by a dad and a mom but by televisions, the internet, state institutions like schools, or the streets.

We have a generation that in my opinion has lost the gift of experiencing love and sex in a single bond. Sex has become a tool, a method of power, a way to get things...not a vehicle for the expression of love...in far too many peoples lives now.

You cant have love if you cant have trust and intimacy.

How can you have trust and intimacy if you or your partner's sexual responses are falsified or are manipulate daily?

...Perhaps thats the real reason there are so many unhappy marriages now and so much divorce? Maybe its because we have all been rewired sexually by the culture around us? Hell, most people on here probably spend more time having intercourse with a computer than they do a live human being.

We've become a society of lusters, not lovers. I think we may have lost something special and sacred in the process....
