[quote:aether:MV8xOTI4ODE0XzMyMzA5MDEwX0VDRDFCRTQ5] i think holons: [Quote:observation]A holon is a system (or phenomenon) which is an evolving self-organizing dissipative structure, composed of other holons, whose structures exist at a balance point between chaos and order. It is maintained by the throughput of matter–energy and information–entropy connected to other holons and is simultaneously a whole in and itself at the same time being nested within another holon and so is a part of something much larger than itself. Holons range in size from the smallest subatomic particles and strings, all the way up to the multiverse, comprising many universes. Individual humans, their societies and their cultures are intermediate level holons, created by the interaction of forces working upon us both top-down and bottom-up. On a non-physical level, words, ideas, sounds, emotions—everything that can be identified—is simultaneously part of something, and can be viewed as having parts of its own, similar to sign in regard of semiotics................
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holon_%28philosophy%29 arose within the thoughts of people because of this: [quote:aether:MV8xOTI2Njg5XzMyMjg4NDEzX0FDMjVEMkI1] "the machine theory that came along in the 17th century gave a different kind of theology. God was like a machine maker who designed and made all the machinery of life as it were from outside. It was casting god in the image of technological man. God was like an engineer and a mathematician and the forms and purposes of things came from outside not from inside. When living organisms were thought of as organisms they possessed their own purposes, their own goal. What this revolution did was took the purposes and goals and shapes and forms , the designs, as they were called out of living organisms and put them outside nature into the mind of god" this was the part i am referring to
http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1926689/pg6
An X-2 class solar flare recently missed a direct impact with Earth.
Heliophysicists classify solar flares according to their brightness in X-ray wavelengths. C-class flares are the smallest on the scale, with X-ray measurements in the 10^-6 watts per square meter range (W/m^2), while X-class flares can exceed 10^-4 W/m^2. Why is that important?
An X-2 solar flare has enough energy to overload satellite circuits and disrupt other forms of communication should its full force be directed at Earth.
Modern astronomers believe that solar flares, or coronal mass ejections (CME), occur when magnetic reconnection events in the Sun’s atmosphere cause a short circuit in magnetic field lines. According to one theory, “magnetic energy” then accelerates the superheated gases into space. Although no one knows what “magnetic reconnection” is, it is the only explanation offered................
