Big coal state and also possible swing vote.
Pennsylvania is a blue state and as long as they have unemployment, foodstamps and disability flowing their way they will be content and fail to understand being a kept entity by the government comes with risks. When the tax dollars can no longer support them they will be in for a rude awakening when the realization that their live for today tactics are a failure.
According to what I posted above, they will be paying $167 per megawatt. They are enjoying $16.00 per megawatt. Prices will go up 100% in the meantime the coal industry will dive bomb and they are going to get a doubly whammy. I wonder what that equates to a bill....I think it goes up 8 times higher or something than what you are paying now. Lets see if they are happy with Obama then.
“The failed energy policies of the Obama administration and the ‘war on coal’ that the president and his Democrat supporters have unleashed are the direct causes of this layoff,” said Powhatan mine general manager Ronald Koontz, according to The Wheeling Intelligencer. “Unfortunately, for us, this is just the beginning [of] the work force reductions.”
