[quote:grasptheuniverse:MV8xOTQ4NzM1XzMyNjYzNjY1XzVBQkYyMkZD] I know I was watching an english show and the guy said he was proud to be english and someone else said are you racist. He said I am no way a racist whats so wrong with loving my country. Same thing everywhere it seems to be bad to be white and if you are white its somehow bad to like the fact that you are. [/quote]

My daughter started kindergarten camp today. It's an optional week long orientation before school starts. As a parent I gathered in the cafeteria with other parents to speak with teachers and administrators about expectations for parents, students, faculty, as well as how we could help the school out.
In the cafeteria there was pictures all around of children doing various activities. There was not a single picture of a white kid anywhere in the room. I found that odd because whites make up 75%+ of the local population.
Incidentally, the kindergarten class has about 90 students. Today there was about 50 parents who brought their kindergarteners for camp. Of the parents only one was black. Why didn't any of the black parents show up for the camp with their children? Over half of the parents who did not attend were black or hispanic if local statistics hold true in this particular school.
I'm not particularly religious, nor do I condone the intolerance and sometimes ignorance found among many followers of religion, but I am looking into sending my child to one of the private christian schools. Atleast there it will be acceptable to be white.
