Original Message While it is true neurology is not so well understood that results are definite, it is still subject to statistical analysis. Add this to the fact that this is high level government, and thus subject to the scrutiny of conspiracy theory, there is an indication that Giffords may be faking (or forced to fake) her injury.

I spent a year adamantly learning about the subject of nuerological impairment once a brain injury happened to someone close to me, and while Giffords' recovery shows similar features to my experience ( getting the patient to give a thumbs-ups and speech impediments, etc.) the raw results are so phenomenal, it's arguably unbelievable.
