I live on the West Coast and I have noticed a dramatic increase in the price of eggs, just in the past week. I was paying about $3.00 for two dozen regular white eggs and the price jumped to $5.00 per two dozen. At one of my favorite groceries they had a printout on the egg case that explained the increase, citing the drought and the rising cost of feed, as well as a large avian flu problem in western Mexico. I came home and tried to search the internet for more info, and couldn't find info on the current situation.
My question to you all, has anyone else noticed their food costs rising...??
