You're the most ignorant one on this thread.. How about you go move to Fuku than. You can blog from the doctors office where 70% of children have lumps on their thyroid. You can blog from the hospital where they REFUSE to test for radiation sickness when they're unable to determine why people are dying. Yes, it's actually been mandated that radiation tests are NOT ALLOWED as a form of diagnosis for the ill there.

Maybe at the time Ukraine had enough decency to warn, to admit it to their people that it was a disaster..

Japan, with already having to deal with Hiroshima/Nagasaki was too proud and too paranoid and too far in denial to admit what happened.

Not to mention the other reactor explosion and the meltdown of at LEAST 3 of them, for an ongoing time period, still today, and the continual "washing" of the nuclear cooling water into the sea..

Are you even aware that certain vineyards for producing wine in California actually closed because there were tests showing signs of unsafe radiation in their grapes that was PROVED to be from Fukushima?

YES, Chernobyl was a terrible horror. But the facts come out after years and years, when nobody cares as much. However, Fuku is worse, will be proven to be worse, and is affecting a larger area for an ongoing period of time.

Original Message Level 8: Multi-source major nuclear accident requiring international assistance and monitoring

In the first hour, nuclear energy expert Scott Portzline talked about the shutdown at the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant and related issues. According to Portzline, the San Onofre plant is at risk of a 'guillotine accident' in which a steam generator tube breaks, decapitates other tubes, that in turn cause even more steam generator tubes to rupture. If this happened, operators would have a difficult time maintaining control, he noted. Portzline disclosed that large amounts of radioactive tritium have been pumped into Lake Ontario by Canada's nuclear power stations. "Tritium is dangerous because it gets into the human system as water... [it] is coming out of all nuclear plants," he warned. Portzline also commented on how easy it is to sabotage nuclear power plants, spoke about the Fukushima disaster and how likely the total radiation release from that accident will exceed Chernobyl, and called for a new scale to measure nuclear incidents.
