Grasping at straws won't change what happened. Any chance of taking the Senate in November is gone. It's time to wake up from the "shining city on a hill" delusion and face cold, hard reality.
What's done is done and the GOP will just have to move forward, cut their losses and hedge their bets. All the yelling, screaming and throwing fits by conservative talk show hosts, columnists and politicians are obvious symptoms of denial.
Because of what happened, conservatives will have to accept retaining the House. In the event Obama gets a second term, he won't get anything done.
