When the "Moon walk" happened the Walter Cronkite news program was reporting, almost all the time, on everything the astronauts were doing. It was almost 24-7 and then that kind of reporting was not the norm. For every operation planed and executed by the astronauts, the studios reenacted everything. Each time this happened it was signed as such in the lower corner of the TV screen.  Everything was redone in the studio to be sure the public understood what was happening ... on top of that story being the biggest thing on the planet. 
Walter was always first in reporting everything. He was the reporter "for the people" all during the Kennedy assassination ... which actually was 24-7 for a while. Cronkite would never pass up the chance for a "scoop." The Moon activities happened on the Moon and then in the studio, and yes WE DID GO TO THE MOON, at least twice, and perhaps most of the "Moon shots." You guys are seeing the film of the studio sets and the reenactments.
